World of Warcraft – Item Upgrading The upgrade of an item allows players to boost an item's gear rating up 700 points, and then give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you decide to take them to the kiln. Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For example an excellently broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't change much after an upgrade and aren't worth it. Weapons Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats, such as crit chance, attack damage as well as PvE and PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. Additionally there are many weapons with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon is present on a unit. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will hit for 3 times less often, since it is an absolute number. Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button within the item menu using the arrows that circle. This will reroll the item and change its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's level nor connect to the status of your account. Armor A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference to your survival. Certain sets offer massive increases in resistance to poison, curses, fire, and magic. This can make it easier to traverse difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense you have for your character, the greater health you will get from each point. So, it's best to upgrade your armor. To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and in order to unlock each one you have to complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest and the corresponding fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu. The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. You'll require anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. Trinkets A trinket is a tiny and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an ornament or object that has a purpose but is not important as a Thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is a way to express friendship or affection between family members. Trinkets can be upgraded by players in addition to weapons or armor, as well as potions. These can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets unlike other items that can be upgraded can be swapped at will without losing stats. When choosing which items to upgrade players should also be aware of the class's preferred stats. For instance when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should be focusing on upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and chest. Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl after they're no longer needed and the new trinket will receive an additional 1% upgrade bonus. However, a re-upgrade is likely to destroy the old trinket until it is salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than purchasing the new one.
